Stokes's ODI return changes the dynamic a little bit - Buttler

England's white-ball captain Jos Buttler admitted that Ben Stokes's ODI return for the 50-overs World Cup later this year as a specialist batter 'changes the dynamic a little bit' with regards to the squad selection. Stokes's decision meant England picked him and left out the exciting Harry Brook from their provisional squad of 15 for the showpiece event.
"Of course, Ben Stokes coming back and being available just as a batter sort of changes the dynamic a little bit. Ben's a fantastic player to be able to welcome back, so it's a really tough selection," Buttler said.
Brook made peace with the decision, despite the rapid rise he's made in English cricket. He made his T20I debut in January 2022 and earned his Test cap in the same year in September before playing the first of his three ODIs so far in January 2023.
